Happy Thanksgiving!
They may not be the most artistic pies you have ever seen, but they're the best ones I've made in many years, since I rarely make pies. Have a virtual slice, and enjoy the day!
Ah, well, here is the story of the little pastry leaves. I bought the tiny leaf-shaped cookie cutters maybe ten years ago, specifically for the holly leaf, to make a chocolate cake Yule log with holly leaves. I may have used them once.
Then, after I mentioned to a friend that I was making pies, she sent a lovely animated Thanksgiving e-card, showing a pumpkin pie being made. It was almost like an instruction video on how to make a pie. The unseen maker added little pastry leaves to the edging. After I edged the pie, I had a few left over, so dropped them into the center of the pumpkin pie. A few of them sunk in a little. Anyway, it was fun.

They look wonderful, but I'm stuffed! Maybe later. :)
I'll save some for you. :-)
Cute, I've never seen little pastry leaves on pumpkin pie before.
